As the 2023-2024 school year approaches this will be my EIGHTH year teaching at St. Joan! As an alumna (Class of '99) St. Joan is home for me and I am honored and blessed to give back to the school community all that was instilled in me all those years.
I am VERY excited for this new challenge of teaching 6th grade! I had the pleasure of teaching some of these kiddos in third grade, but that was 2020-2021 and the year of COVID. Which was a VERY different year - but a lot of fun and learning happened that year. I am excited to get to know the entire grade and continue to be apart of their growth and success.
I will be teaching History to both classes and one of the math classes.
This year we will be using Schoology as our online platform for posting homework. I will also be sending out weekly emails/Flocknotes with updates, dates to remember etc.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns please do NOT hesitate to reach out (email preferred) ammalek@stjoan.net
God Bless and Go Chargers!
