St. Joan of Arc is unique in its ability to have a full-time resource teacher on staff to provide remedial and enrichment opportunities to its students. My many years of experience have included teaching pre-school, kindergarten, first grade, and most recently third grade. This background gives me the ability to reach out to the students in my position as Resource Room Teacher. I work closely with the classroom teachers to reinforce and practice what is being taught in the classroom.

   Being a member of the Learning Disabilities Society of Michigan, and attending workshops to strengthen my understanding of the the difficulties children encounter when trying to learn today, keeps me up to date on new strategies to help the students at SJA. Becoming a teacher means you never stop learning.
