7th grade Religion class with homeroom students.  Seventh grade students attend mass with eighth grade classes on Friday.

     This course provides students with the opportunity to strengthen their awareness of our religious heritage.  "The history of the Catholic Church is a marvelous story of saints and sinners, successes and failures, hopes and disappointments.  It is not only a human story but also a divine drama of God's grace at work in our world."  Seventh and Eighth grade students attend mass on Friday.  Students are expected to actively participate in the liturgy. Grades will be recorded as percentages and will include reflective questions, crossword puzzles, word searches, quizzes and tests.


7th grade Science class - all 7th grade students

     This course is a study of Earth Science.  Some of the topics covered in this class are:  matter, earth's renewable and nonrenewable energy resources, landforms, weathering and soil, erosional forces, surface and groundwater, earth's internal processes, our atmosphere, climate, oceans, and our impact on the environment.  Students are expected to use the online resources provided by the publisher.  Students were given an access code to view their textbook online.  Student's grades are recorded in points on the Power School Gradebook.  Points will be earned with the completion of class assignments, homework, cooperative learning activities, written and oral assessments as well as lab activities.


8th grade Science class - all 8th grade students

     This course is a diverse study of all forms of life.  Some of the topics covered are:  cells and their processes, bacteria, protists, fungi, mollusks, worms, arthropods, echinoderms, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, animal behavior, human body systems and the interactions of life.  Students were given an access code to view their textbook online and are expected to use the online resources provided by Glencoe.   Grades are recorded in points on the Power School Gradebook.  Points will be earned with the completion of vocabulary-related assignments and quizzes, class assignments, homework, cooperative learning activities, writen and oral assessments and lab activities.


7th grade English/Vocabulary with homeroom students

     The English portion of this class will review and reinforce rules of grammar.  Grades are recorded as percentages and will be based on completion of class work, homework and written assessments. 
     Vocabulary workbook assignments are expected to be completed during assigned class time.  Students may take their corrected vocabulary workbook home to prepare for unit tests.  Vocabulary is a separate grade on the report card.  Grades are recorded in percentages and will be based on completion of workbook pages and unit tests.  The online components include interactive games, puzzles and test practice.
     Rules of grammar and vocabulary terms will be reinforced and applied to writing assignments.
